Requirement to wear face masks the main change to Alert Level 3 guidelines… for now

Everywhere south of the greater Auckland border has dropped down to Alert Level 3 in New Zealand’s response to the Delta outbreak of COVID-19.

With tenants able to move into rental properties at Alert Level 3, property managers can resume many of their duties, although safety precautions have now gone up a notch.

The major change from last year is that face masks are now required to be worn whenever there is possible contact with customers.

“You legally must wear a face covering if you are a customer or an employee involving customer contact at a business or service operating at Alert Level 3,” the covid19.govt.nz website says.

However, the Alert Level 3 guidelines are still subject to change, and we will keep you updated if or when this happens.

As it stands, rental viewings can occur at Alert Level 3 and as such, the eBundle system has been updated so property managers can send template emails to tenants about viewings being limited and safety precautions to follow.
