The Healthy Homes extension became law on Saturday November 26.
This applies to all new and renewed tenancies that commenced from or after August 28.
This is because the Healthy Homes compliance period for those tenancies has started but is not complete as of November 26 when the law changed.
Therefore, all new and renewed tenancies that commenced from or after August 28 have 120 days to comply with the Healthy Homes Standards, not 90 days.
This change will be reflected on the input of the eBundle tenancy agreement in the coming days.
Example – if the commencement date of the tenancy is November 1, the 120-day countdown starts the next day.
Day 0 – is November 1
Day 1 – is November 2
Day 120 – is March 2
